Rd. 10 is over, and I have to admit something; it was a much more exciting round than I thought it was going to be.
I stated during my live episode last week that there didn't seem to be too many marquee matchups in the round, but that didn't matter. Three games decided by a total of four points? Can you ask for more than that?
The defending premiers dropped out of the top 8, but no one in the top 8 is feeling all that comfortable about it. The top of the ladder Bulldogs lost a gun midfielder for the next couple of months, and they're right back into the breach in 4 days, having to face the Demons, who will be ready to reassume their position at the top of the ladder.
Rd. 11 has some VERY intriguing matchups, and it hits the ground running Friday night, with the clash of #1 and #2 at Marvel Stadium. (Just wondering....any thought that maybe the AFL House should consider moving that game to the MCG, and send the Tigers and Crows [likely a smaller visiting crowd] to Marvel? Just tossing some ideas out there to see what may stick.) :-)
