Ladies and gentlemen.....THIS is why I, as an American, have fallen head over heels in love with this game. Other than the dopey punters who get upset when their multi's go astray, the love affair (I can't think of a better term) between supporters and the clubs is unlike anything I have ever seen. I'm a Cats supporter, and while I know I'm supposed to not like other clubs based upon that, I came to the game late in life, and have developed a deep appreciation for how the supporter base of each of the clubs interacts with the club. Professional sports in the US could learn a TON (yeah, I know...not metric :) ) from the way footy clubs interact with their supporters. I'm sitting in my classroom watching my students take their final exams, and my eyes are almost welling up because I absolutely love seeing things like this. Tex, Good on ya. You truly seem to be a great bloke.
